Stretching shoes and shoe stretchers

Our shoe stretchers are for shoes! (and please note shoe-trees are NOT shoe stretchers they are quite different)
Sometimes they can be used in boots if you can get them in - the back of boots tends to be high and might prevent access. We are also often asked if they will work on hiking boots - again the answer is probably not - hiking boots tend to be much wider than shoes and the access might also be difficult.
How to stretch shoes
Slowly and gently!
Insert the stretcher to front of shoe,
start expanding the stretcher until you feel resistance,
apply a little more pressure and leave alone for a couple of days
then apply another twist and leave alone for a couple of days
repeat - slowly and gently over time
If you try to stretch shoes too fast you will likely damage the upper or the stitching or both. Please do not over do it.
You can apply some stretching spray, it is usually a mix of diluted alcohols and water, read the instructions of the supplier before use.
